please note: students 16 years of age and up can be unaccompanied; ages 12-15 must have a guardian also enrolled in the class. minors must have parental permission and signed waiver (ask us).

about the instructor: chauncey foster is a human who grew up in virginia beach. he has a tight-knit and loving family. he is interested in challenging anthropocentrism and ideologies that implicitly fuel authoritarianism. he finds eusocial communities (such as ant colonies) fascinating and inspiring. he studied biology in college, and since graduating has worked in both conservation (leading, managing, and supporting youth conservation crews around the american west) and outdoor education (facilitating and coordinating experiential education programs at a residential outdoor school). in 2019, he walked across the u.s. picking up trash with locals along the way. following the walk, he rooted in northern new mexico to continue building the we.grow.eco project.
